As you'll see in the charts below, inventory fell off across all mid-peninsula cities at the end of 2015. Now, a little over a month into 2016 and not much has changed. Since December '15, the number of active listings has only jumped from 17 to 20 in San Mateo, 4 to 5 in Foster City, 3 to 6 in San Carlos, and 20 to 26 in Redwood City. Inventory actually dropped over that same time period in Menlo Park (13 to 10), and Belmont (3 to 2).
Redwood City saw it's first real jump in inventory last week - up to 26 from 20 the week prior. Hopefully this trend continues through February and into March.
